We provide information and advice, hold regular social events and have special discounts for members. We aim to promote a happy, growing community.
Members of the WAA are entitled to 50% discount on Suttons Seeds, and 10% discount at Naked Cross Nurseries.
The WAA organises different events, including quizzes, guest speakers, visits and a summer BBQ.
We encourage socialising between members from a wide range of ages and experience, to promote the sharing of our knowledge.
Allotments are changing, they have a new role to play. Not only do people want to grow better and more interesting vegetables, fruit, and flowers, they have also become a place to escape to, a pleasure away from all the hassles of everyday life. We are all aware of the health benefits of eating home grown fruit and vegetables and the Association is keen for people of all ages and abilities to get involved.
The Association is also aware of the part we can all play in protecting our environment, and maintaining our soil by using sustainable and regenerative methods of growing. We want to encourage our members with information and new ideas to help us adapt to our changing climate.
